Our Programs
Access Ann Arbor programs are designed around the practical challenges that can affect someone before, during, and after the job search. Each program focuses on a different part of preparing for work, navigating everyday responsibilities, and building greater confidence in the workplace.
Participants do not necessarily need every program. The goal is to focus on the areas that are most useful for where they are and where they want to go.

Time with Purpose
Life gets busy. This course offers practical tools to help participants build a schedule, stay organized, and better manage day-to-day responsibilities.
Planning Your Day
Building realistic schedules, setting priorities, accounting for travel time, and creating routines that make everyday responsibilities easier to manage.
Showing Up Consistently
Understanding punctuality, preparation, reliability, backup plans, and the habits that support consistency at work.
Balancing Work & Life
Navigating work alongside family responsibilities, school, transportation, second jobs, and other real-life demands while recognizing when additional support may be needed.
Time management is not simply about trying harder. People have real responsibilities and barriers, and the goal is to develop practical systems that work within real life.
Better with Money
Money can be stressful. Better with Money helps participants build confidence with everyday financial decisions, from understanding a paycheck to managing credit and developing habits that support greater financial stability.
- Understanding Your Money
Understanding gross and net pay, paycheck deductions, basic taxes, banking, direct deposit, and account statements.
Managing Your Money
Building a realistic budget, separating needs from wants, developing saving habits, and understanding the importance of an emergency fund.
Credit & Financial Decisions
Understanding credit, rebuilding credit, interest, high-cost debt, payday loans, rent-to-own products, and other financial decisions that can have long-term consequences.
This program provides financial education and practical knowledge. It is not individualized financial advice.

Resume Building & Interview Preparation
Finding the right opportunity starts with presenting yourself confidently. This program provides practical tools to help participants build a stronger resume, identify transferable skills, address employment gaps, prepare for interviews, and communicate their strengths in a clear, professional way.
- Building Your Resume
Organizing experience, highlighting relevant skills, improving readability, and creating a resume that more clearly communicates what someone can offer.
Telling Your Story
Learning how to discuss experience, career changes, transferable skills, employment gaps, and previous challenges without allowing one part of a person’s history to define their entire story.
Interview Confidence
Preparing for common interview questions, communicating clearly, understanding professional expectations, and becoming more comfortable speaking about strengths and experience.

Success Coaching
You don't have to do this alone. Success Coaching walks with participants as they prepare for interviews, start a new role, and settle into the workplace, with encouragement, guidance, and accountability. It provides continued support to help participants navigate challenges and keep moving forward.
- Goals & Direction
Helping participants think through what they are working toward and identify practical next steps.
Support, Accountability & Confidence
Providing a consistent person to check in with, work through challenges, recognize progress, and stay focused.
Staying Successful & Growing at Work
Supporting participants as they adjust to a new workplace, navigate challenges, communicate effectively, and continue developing professionally.
Success Coaching also includes structured 30, 60, and 90-day coaching check-ins after employment begins. These check-ins are designed to provide support during the transition into a new role. Support does not automatically end after 90 days.
Different people need different kinds of support. Access Ann Arbor programs are designed to meet individuals where they are and help them build from there.
