A Letter to Our Employers

To our local employers,

Hiring is about more than filling an open position. Behind every job description is a team, a workplace, and a need for someone who can contribute, grow, and become part of what you are building.

We also know that finding that person is not always simple.

Access Ann Arbor was created to help make that connection stronger. We take the time to understand the positions you are hiring for, the expectations that come with them, and what success looks like within your organization. At the same time, we work with individuals who are preparing to take their next step in the workforce.

Our role is not to replace your recruiting team or make hiring decisions for you. We are not a staffing agency. Our role is to help create a stronger bridge between employers and individuals who may have the experience, strengths, availability, and potential to meet your needs.

When there may be alignment, we help make the connection. Your organization continues its normal application, interview, qualification, and hiring process.

And our involvement does not necessarily end when someone accepts a job. Through Success Coaching and structured 30, 60, and 90-day check-ins, we remain available to help participants navigate the transition into a new workplace and work through challenges as they arise.

Most importantly, we want our relationships with employers to be built on understanding rather than transactions. We want to learn what you need, understand the challenges you are experiencing, and determine where Access Ann Arbor can genuinely be useful.

We believe stronger relationships between employers and the community can create better outcomes on both sides, and we look forward to building those relationships one employer at a time.
